Being able to track what is really happening out there, provides you with the tools you need to ensure the job is being accomplished. Otherwise, you and your team could be going around in circles, or as some say, like chickens with your heads cut off. Obviously this is not a commendable thing.

As you set up your projects and goals, you must also establish some way to set up measurements and parameters so that you know if you are achieving anything worthwhile. You want to quantify PPC, be constantly measuring CTR, and be working at raising your ROI.

This requires tracking and recording performance so that there is a record. This record needs to be reviewed regularly and new goals established so that there is a constant increase in performance in the Internet marketing projects.

Goals should also be high enough to bring in the results desired. This means they should be both realistic, clearly understood by team members, and real steps should be planned to reach those goals.
